Planhaven was established in 1966 by the late Frances Wilson. Frances was a world renown Breeder and Exhibitor of her beautiful Newfoundlands.

Dogs carrying the Planhaven Prefix have amassed over 100 Royal Challenges.

One her most famous dogs was Planhaven Thunderdome, who was awarded 52 Best Exhibit In Show in both All Breeds and Specialty Shows in the late 1980’s to mid 1990’s.

He was just one of many successful Newfoundlands that were bred by Frances and these lines are carried into the Planhaven Newfoundlands of today.

Planhaven Newfoundlands now lives on, under the guidance of Ross & Robyn Parkin.
